Can you explain why Edmunds' vehicle pricing differs from the pricing offered by other guides (such as KBB or NADA)?
While other guides (such as KBB or NADA) tend to base their vehicle pricing on average list prices at dealers, Edmunds bases its vehicle pricing on actual sales data of similarly-equipped vehicles in the same region. We call this True Market Value® (TMV®) pricing. Because TMV® pricing is based on actual sales and takes into account such factors as a vehicle's location, color, mileage, condition and options, we believe it is a more accurate and ultimately a fairer way to estimate a vehicle's value.
